Thirteen years turning product ideas into interfaces that ship.

I started in advertising design, went through graphic design and photography, and ended up in product design. That route is why I care about whether a screen reads right about as much as whether it works — a screen that's technically correct but reads wrong stops a user just the same.

Thirteen years, all at D-Link. It sounds like one job. It was three: a dense B2B admin platform for network video recorders; a consumer smart home app ecosystem across iOS, Android and web, where routers, cameras, plugs and sensors all had to share one interaction model; and the design system holding both of those up. The last two years added a fourth — an AI-assisted pipeline I use to go from Figma to a deployed build, with no handoff document and no second person.

The thing I'm best at is honestly kind of boring: a request usually shows up vague, and I keep asking questions until engineering knows how to build it and users know where to go. When it works, the result looks so obvious nobody stops to look twice. That's the win.

    • A voice-first daily reflection app built around a deliberate anti-gamification stance — no streaks, no scores, no completion pressure. I wrote the full UX copy system and the empty-state voice that carries it.
    • Solved the hardest interaction problem in voice UI by designing explicit failure states: a mascot-led recovery path with two exits (say it again, or switch to typing) instead of a dead end.
    • Took it from concept to production solo — live on Cloudflare Pages, with Claude Code as the development partner.

    • AQUILA PRO AI (mesh Wi-Fi app, 2023–2025): Hotjar behavioural data and interviews showed the most-used features were three taps deep. I defined the problem myself, pitched a quick-action module to PM and RD with low-fi prototypes, and got it into the schedule — three taps down to one, UI operation error rate down 70%, and it became a design system standard afterwards. The redesign shipped against an undocumented legacy system, data dependencies with other ecosystem products, WCAG compliance and multi-language support, on a compressed timeline — as the sole UX and UI lead in a team of one UX and two UI.
    • mydlink smart home ecosystem (iOS / Android / web): owned end-to-end UX for device pairing (QR and BLE), home automation, live camera view and push notifications. Defined the Matter integration flow bridging Google Home and Apple HomeKit, and ran the competitive UX analysis (Nest, HomeKit, Alexa, Tapo) that set the direction for the next redesign.
    • B2B NVR and IP camera admin platform: architected the IA for a multi-device management dashboard — site maps, flows, wireframes — which cut configuration errors for IT administrators, then built the console modules around it: live device status, batch configuration, role-based accounts. Also developed the platform's UI component library and style guide. High information density, IT administrators, no room for a pretty-but-slow interface.
    • Across all product lines: built the company-wide design system and style guide (iOS / Android / web) — components, variables, auto layout, tokens — cutting design delivery cycles by 30%. Also led internal adoption of AI tools (Claude Code, ChatGPT, DALL·E, Google Stitch) through company-wide training.
